Calling all shutter-bugs: Grab your cam (or any image capturing device), explore the Indo-German Urban Mela (June 22, 2012 to July 1, 2012) and present your artistic point of view!
This is an open call to professionals and amateurs who want to celebrate their own personal creative experience at the Urban Mela.

Winning entries will get to participate in an Exhibition curated by well-known Bangalore photographer Mallikarjun Katakol.
There will also be a competition on Facebook where the public will choose their favourite photograph.

Mallikarjun B. Katakol is a Bangalore-based photographer who has worked as a freelancer with advertising agencies and print media for the past fifteen years. He was born in Dharwad, Karnataka, and studied at CAVA Art School in Mysore. After college he worked as a graphic designer in Bangalore for a couple of years. Following a stint as an assistant photographer in Mumbai, he set up his own company in 1993. In addition to commercial photography he has pursued the craft of image-making in projects that explore the aesthetics of tradition in contemporary India.
