Get ready to be swept away by German brass band Mardi Gras. BB, creating a sound impossible to resist.

Mardi Gras.BB is a German band with a style that blends blues, soul, funk, chanson, rock, pop, country and psychedelic. Their name refers to the Mardi Gras in New Orleans while the BB stands for “Bold Bold” as opposed to brass band.

Mardi Gras.BB have been performing together since 1992 and have sold over 180,000 albums. After the success of their last album "Von Humboldt Picnic", they will release their latest work, "Crime Story Tapes" in October this year. This album is heavily influenced by swing and reggae music.

The band will be accompanied by trombone player and singer Richard Jung, also known as Dr. Ring Ding, for their concert at the Indo-German Urban Mela. Dr. Ring Ding is a radio jockey at German station WDR and also a ska, swing and jazz producer. He has gained notoriety for his collaboration with New York ska band, The Toasters. The performance at the Indo-German Urban Mela will be a special showcase of Mardi Gras.BB’s entire work history.
