A street play based on the personal narratives of industrial workers in and around Delhi. Before making the play the actors met and interviewed many workers, trade union activists working in factories. The short introductory scene focuses on the abysmal conditions of the unorganized sector. The rest of the play is an interplay of farce and docu-drama on the work conditions, wage issues, hours of work, contract labour, muster roll, attitude of the capitalist, rights of the workers, etc.
There is a very symbolic representation and creative use of a thick rope and body movements that runs as a strong visual action in the documentary scenes. The two farcical scenes have the capitalist (old and new, played by the same actor) interacting with the counter-chorus who egg him on. Their partisanship with the struggle of the workers subtly build up to the verse at the end.
