Magic with a laptop and a guitar

Sahej Bakshi, or Dualist Inquiry, is a composer, guitarist and producer from Delhi. He chose the name Dualist Inquiry because it represents his personal belief in the dualist philosophy of "coexistence of extremes that balance each other out".

Since returning to Delhi after completing his education at the Thornton Music School, L.A. in March 2010, Bakshi has been touring India extensively and has been tipped by many in the electronic music community to be a major presence for years to come.

In his own words, "Even though my music is instrumental, it comes to me in much the same way a song with lyrics would to a singer… I feel like the song can become a soundtrack to your own thoughts, so in a very special way, every individual who listens to the song has a slightly different experience… Each person is free to imagine and derive their own meaning and relationship to my music."

Information on the artist:

Sahej Bakshi learnt to play guitar at age 9 and formed a school rock band. He later moved to Los Angeles to study at the Thornton school of music. He entered college, wanting to be a guitar player, but by the time he had graduated, he had decided to become an electronica musician.

It was in 2010 that Bakshi played his first full fledged gig at the Holi Cow festival in Delhi and since then has toured India extensively. His debut album "Dualism" released in June 2011. He has a full length album releasing in late 2012. Most recently he was chosen as the only Indian artist to support David Guetta in all three cities of the Eristoff Invasion Festival 2012.
