GRIPS Theatre
"GRIPS" is "Gripping Theatre". An innovative group takes children's theatre out of the fantasy world of fairy tales into everyday reality. The GRIPS plays see the world through the eyes of children. These plays address contemporary issues in society but do so light-heartedly and provoke without preaching.

At the Indo German Urban Mela GRIPS Theatre brings to you two plays - Nayee Bahar and Project Aditi.

Project Aditi -
The play talks about the relationship between reality shows, television and children. Parents insist that their talented children participate in these competitions and win them.

The problem arises when parents start imposing their unfulfilled desires and aspirations on their children. Exposure on television brings glamour and popularity. Parents start forcing their children and exercise an unhealthy pressure on the child. But every child is different and not everyone can withstand the pressures.

All this steals away the innocence and childhood from a child's life.

Project Aditi is written and directed by Vibhawari Deshpande.
