PechaKucha which refers to the sound of chit-chat in Japanese, is an idea and format that was conceived in 2003 by the Tokyo based practice of Klein Dytham architects. Coordinated and owned by KDa, it has spread across about 495 cities and is practically the world's most popular design event!
PKN in Mumbai is organised by Kaiwan Mehta, as the City Organiser on behalf of KDa and PKN Tokyo.This PKN Mumbai Vol # 8 is hosted in collaboration with the year of Germany in India - "Germany and India 2011-2012: Infinite Opportunities"
20 images on the screen, each precisely for 20 seconds only! A rapid fire of thoughts, images and words, where no speaker can hold the stage for more than 6 mins and 40 seconds, but many voices can present, a variety of ideas and stories.
Who can Participate?
We invite architects, designers, filmmakers, journalists, writers, photographers, artists, thinkers to come and present in the PKN 20X20 format.
How to Participate?
- If you wish to present do Register with us by 1 April, 2012.
- To register send us the subject of your presentation, a 3-5 line description of your presentation, sample of 3 slides you will use for your the final presentation, and a 2-line introduction of yourself (if you are representing an organisation, please send us a brief description of the organisation).
- Your Presentations (with each slide timed to 20 seconds precisely) should reach us by 10 April, 2012.
- One slide is one image, please remember that, the format does not allow for multiple-images animation within one-slide.
