Dance Performance with Felix Bürkle & Hema Sundari Vellaluru

The beginning of "Starting point # 3" is the encounter of two persons. A real encounter in a given space that happens to be a stage, a public space. Based on the improvisation, a movement is created that is a result of motivated physical action as a means of communication. The emotional state the both dancers can be found in has a direct influence on the movement. There are moments of intimacy, of struggle, being accepted, being repelled, being protected, being exposed. It shows the duality of two beings that meet each other and that are confronted with the fact of being different although they have something in common.

The "Starting point # 3" has been dedicated to dancer and choreographer Carlos Orta (1944 – 2004). The production and presentation of the programme has been supported by the Nordrhein-Westfalen Art Foundation, Germany.
